LSSM areas of scientific research and development correspond to priority areas of fundamental and applied scientific research of the Republic of Belarus. In particular, they are in the mainstream of priority directions of fundamental and applied scientific research of the Republic of Belarus for 2006 – 2010:

fundamental scientific research priority direction "6. Mathematical and physical modeling of systems, structures and processes in nature and society, information technologies, creation of a modern information infrastructure":

"6.1. Mathematical models and their application to the analysis of systems and processes in nature and society" and "6.3. Theoretical and methodological foundations development of informatics and information technologies".

At present, they correspond to one of the priority areas of fundamental and applied scientific research of the Republic of Belarus for 2011 – 2015:

fundamental scientific research priority direction "5. Information-communication, aviation and space technologies and equipment":

"5.1. methods of mathematical and computer modeling, computer technologies and intelligent decision support systems” and “5.4. mathematical and intellectual methods, information technologies and systems for recognition and processing of images, signals, speech and multimedia information";

fundamental scientific research priority direction "12. Interdisciplinary research. Perspective emerging technologies": "12.1. physical and mathematical methods and their application for solving real problems of natural science, technics, new technologies, economics and social sciences."


In 2019 – 2026 years, the following scientific projects are carried out in the LSSM:

  • Scientific and technical program of the Union State "Complex-SG" "Development of hardware and software-algorithmic complex for radiometric analysis of dynamic states of the ionosphere" (2022 - 2026);
  • R&D "TTo develop algorithmic and software tools for processing radiotomographic data of low-orbit ionosphere monitoring" (together with the UP "Geoinformation Systems") of subprogram 6 "Exploration and use of outer space in for peaceful purposes" of the State Program "High–tech technologies and equipment" (2021 - 2025).
  • Task 1.10.3 (T 103) "Nonlinear models of self-organization of chaotic wave processes in applications to the analysis of dynamics of complex systems and phenomena, neural network structures and digital signals" within the framework of the State Research Institute "Digital and Space Technologies, human, society and State Security" (2021-2025).;
  • the joint Russian-Belarusian BRFBR project No.F20R-329 "Theoretical foundations of the study of wave processes and phenomena in the ionosphere using signals from satellite radio navigation systems" (2020 - 2022) which is carried out jointly with the Samara National Research University named after Academician S.P. Korolev, Samara, RF;  
  • the project of Belarusian Republic State Foundation of Basic Researches (BRFBR) No. F20M-112 "Analysis and modeling of nonlinear processes in the state space of the pilotless navigation complex of an unmanned aerial vehicle" (2020 - 2022);
  • the project No. 1.8.16 (IK 816) "Mathematical models of self-organization structures and methods of nonlinear analysis of complex dynamical systems and processes in nature and technical devices" within the framework of the State Scientific Research Program  "Informatics, Space and Security", subprogram "Informatics and Space Research" (2019 - 2020 );
  • the project of Belarusian Republic State Foundation of Basic Researches (BRFBR) No. F17-122 "Analytical and computer modeling of nonlinear processes emerging in plasma emission electronics devices" (2017 – 2019).


In 2013 – 2019 years, Head of the LSSM, Doctor of Sciences (DSc), Professor Alexander Krot was the scientific leader of:

  • the project No. 1.8.01 "Methods of complex dynamical systems and media in the task of analysis and modeling of physical phenomena and the synthesis of robotic devices" within the framework of the State Program "Informatics, Space and Security" (subprogram 1 "Informatics and space research", 2016 – 2018); 

  • the project of Belarusian Republic State Foundation of Basic Researches (BRFBR) No. F17-122 "Analytical and computer modeling of nonlinear processes emerging in plasma emission electronics devices" (2017 – 2019);

  • the project No. 01.02 "Development and implementation of an integrated information technology for the new types of power machines design  supporting  (turbosets of low power) with the usage of computational aerodynamical modeling and full-scale testing" in the framework of the State Program "Electronic Resource Management Enterprise (CALS-ERP-technologies)" (2011 – 2017);

  • the joint Ukrainian-Belarusian BRFBR project No. F15UK A-048 "Development of algorithms for processing, coding, analyzing and transmitting sensory data for compiling three-dimensional terrain maps in the tasks of mobile robots and unmanned vehicles orienting" (2015 – 2017) with the Institute of Cybernetics named V. M. Glushkov, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kiev, Ukraine);

  • the project No. 2-04 "Development and implementation of electronic models and methods for computer modeling and analysis of particle flows into a continuous medium for improving the threshing separating device and transporting grain mass in a combine harvester" within the framework of the State Program "Information Technologies" (2011 – 2016);

  • the project No. 1.08 "Principles of self-organization in complex dynamical systems investigating under functionation of machine-building constructions and robotic devices" within the framework of the State Program "Informatics and Space, Scientific Provision of Safety and Protection from Emergencies" (2014 – 2015);

  • the project No. 3.1.01 "Development of methods for studying gas-dust and plasma media and their influence on the motion and state of space vehicles" within the framework of the State Program “Space Exploration” (2013 – 2015);

  • the joint Russian-Belarusian BRFBR-RFFBR project No. F12R-116 "Investigation and development of the complex dynamical systems theoretical foundations in applications to self-organizing distributed control systems for robotics equipment" (2012 – 2014) with the Institute of Multiprocessor Computing systems named A.V. Kalyaev of Southern Federal University (Taganrog, Russia).

During the period 2006 – 2013 in the LSSM was accomplished the following projects under the scientific leadership of Professor, DSc Alexander M. Krot:
  • the project No. 1.2.04 "Mathematical models and methods for self-organization system studying in applications to the problems of natural phenomena analysis and dynamical processes recognition in engineering devices" within the framework of the State Program "Scientific Foundations and Tools of Information and Space Technologies" ("Informatics and Cosmos", 2011 – 2013);

  • the joint Ukrainian-Belarusian BRFBR-SFFRU project No. F11K-169 "Development and research of secretive and secure information transmission methods and algorithms in the tasks of mobile robots and mobile systems group management" (2011 – 2013) with the Institute of Cybernetics named V.M. Glushkov of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (Kiev, Ukraine);

  • the project No. KI-29 "Modeling of nonlinear dynamics of propagation of singular optical beams in the Earth's atmosphere" within the framework of the State Program "Development of Scientific Foundations, Technologies and Perspective Tools for Composite Studies of Outer Space and the Usage of Space Information" ("Space Research", 2010 – 2012);

  • the project No. 5SK / 08-220 "Development and software implementation of the neural network architecture, methods and algorithms for the prototype of the telemetry information monitoring system and spacecraft subsystems diagnostics" within the framework of the scientific and technical program of the Union State "Cosmos-NT" (2008 – 2011);

  • the project No. IT-06 / 3-05 "Development and implementation of electronic models and methods for computer simulation and analysis of continuous medium flows for improving the processes of grain cleaning in a combine harvester" performed in the interests of the "Enterprise for grain harvesting and forage harvesting equipment" (Gomel) within the framework of State Program "Information Technologies" (2008 – 2013);

  • the project No. Infotech-08 "Mathematical modeling methods of self-organization processes in active media" within the framework of the State Program "Scientific Foundations of Information Technologies and Systems" (2006 – 2010);

  • the project No. 1.1 and No. PR 1.2.02 within the framework of the Scientific and Technical Program of the Union State "Development and implementation of high-end computer technologies based on multiprocessor computer systems in the states of the Union State" ("Triada", 2005 – 2008) implemented in the interests of the "Interprise for grain harvesting and forage harvesting equipment" (Gomel) and "Amkodor", Ltd. (Minsk);

  • the agreements on scientific and technical cooperation with the Scientific and Engineering Enterprise "KBTM-OMO", with the State Institution "Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Cardiology"” and with the Enterprise " Promprivod", Ltd. (Minsk).

Since 1997 till 2000 Pofessor, DSc Alexander M. Krot was a Manager of ISTC project No. B-95 "Theory and methods of discrete dynamical systems in digital signal processing applications" (Collaborators of this project were Nobel Laureate, Professor I. Prigogine (Belguim/USA) and also Prof. M. Vetterly (Switzerland/USA), Prof. S. Holm (Norway), Prof. Duhamel (France)).
