Experimental software for the digitized data classification and the solving expert problems in the field of qualitative and quantitative fractography of certain sample types
The work purpose is to increase the reliability and reduce the time of metal parts fractures classification via the methods of morphological analysis of three-dimensional models and analysis of fracture surfaces digital images to automate the process of forensic research.
To achieve the purpose, it is necessary to solve the following main tasks:
- to develop methods and algorithms for studying the morphology of fracture surfaces of structural carbon steels, digitized by means of optical microscopy, photographic equipment and the scanner "Artec Group 3D Scanning Solutions";
- to develop descriptors and algorithms for their calculation via the fractures (images and 3d-models of the surface) digitization data to identify the distinctive features of various fractures;
- to develop algorithms for classifying fractures of detailed objects.
