Software and technical means of input and processing of remote sensing data and cartographic documents

The group of hardware and software complexes of input of "DISKAN-M" large format graphic documents is designed on the basis of A4+ small-format flatbed scanners and large-format digitizers. The complexes are used to enter large-format graphic documents, including satellite images of the Earth surface, by fragment scanning with subsequent correction and linking of the scanned fragments into single bitmap image. Visualization of input process ensures scanning of fragments with high pointing accuracy and high input capacity. The tool specially designed for scanner positioning helps to avoid the breach of scanner backup service.

Product brief description:
"MODEL-K" SIC provides a solution to the following basic tasks:

  • input of digital images and maps to the SIC and the processing results output to the users;
  • control of processing and analysis of digital images and maps technologies;
  • processing of digital images (pre-processing, building mosaic block, stereo processing, etc.);
  • decoding of digital images (objects selection and classification);
  • automated geo-coding of an urban building;
  • recognition and classification of ground types;
  • selection and analysis of area changes;
  • creation of thematic digital maps based on thematic interpretation data;
  • making of documentary photographs;
  • Geo-information analysis (measuring and analytical operations, reconstruction of area 3D-images, etc.).

"MODEL K" SIC experimental model is used as the base of the automated technological system of thematic interpretation which is included into the ground segment of the Belarusian space system for the Earth remote sensing.
"DISKAN-M" complexes can be used for import substitution of expensive equipment (large format roller scanners) in stationary and field conditions of use.

  • Civil and military cartography: the creation of digital maps and location plans on paper and film base using maps and plans (for the needs of the National Economy, the Emergencies Ministry, the Ministry of Defense and other ministries and departments);
  • Automation of production processes: the digitization of design and engineering departments documents, scientific and research institutes, design institutes;
  • Archiving: the creation of electronic archives of the engineering documentation;
  • Architecture and urban planning: digitization of paper, cardboard and metal archives of cities and settlements plans.
