03.02.2026

A discussion panel on road safety was held at the Joint Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus. The meeting focused on current aspects of pedestrian and vehicle safety, as well as accident prevention.

Participants focused on pedestrian etiquette, the importance of using reflectors to increase visibility at night, and the specifics of driving in winter conditions—freezing temperatures, snow, and ice. They also discussed measures to prepare for the start of the motorcycle season, when the number of motorcyclists on the roads increases, and provided recommendations for drivers and motorcyclists.

Institute staff had the opportunity to pose questions to Ivan Vitalyevich Stashuk, a representative of the State Traffic Inspectorate. The event served as a platform for sharing knowledge and practical recommendations aimed at reducing accidents and improving transport safety during seasonal changes
