Visit of the Shandong Province Delegation

On 11 December 2025, the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus welcomed a delegation from Shandong Province (People’s Republic of China), which arrived in Minsk as part of the program to develop Belarus–China scientific and technical cooperation and activities under the Belt and Road Initiative.
The delegation was headed by Jia Zhuqing, Director of the Institute of Laser Research of the Shandong Academy of Sciences. The other participants included senior and young researchers representing key areas of laser research and high-tech development.
Sergey Nikolaevich Kasanin, Deputy General Director for Research, gave the guests a tour of the institute and highlighted the key milestones of its history as well as its major scientific achievements.
During the discussions, the parties reviewed prospects for implementing joint scientific and technical projects, including the launch and further operation of the Joint Laboratory “Intelligent Sensing in Extreme Conditions,” established under the Belt and Road Initiative.
