On August 7, 2025, two memorandums of understanding were signed between the government and the Institute of Automation and the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Optics and Electronics of the Northwestern Polytechnical University (PRC).

The documents confirm:
Andrey Aleksandrovich Govin — Deputy Director General for Scientific and Innovative Work of the UIIP NAS of Belarus;
Associate Professor Liu Hongshi — Institute of Automation;
Professor Qi Wang — Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Optics and Electronics.

The cooperation covers a wide range of priority areas: artificial intelligence, supercomputer technologies, robotics, computer vision, biomedical informatics and others.
