HISTORY OF THE BECOMING OF THE INSTITUTE

I

1965-1989

  • 1965 – On the basis of the cybernetic laboratories of the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Engineering of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR, the Institute of Technical Cybernetics of the Academy of Sciences of the BSSR was established.
  • 1975 – A Special Design and Technology Bureau with pilot production was created.
  • 1984 – The Institute was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.
  • 1989 – A Special Design and Technology Bureau with pilot production has been added to the institute..

    1990-1999

  • 1995 – The Computing Center of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus has been merged with the Institute.
  • 1996 – On the basis of the laboratories and departments of the ITC of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the research association "Cybernetics" was formed, consisting of: the Institute of Technical Cybernetics of the Academy of Sciences of Belarus - the leading scientific organization of the association, the scientific and engineering enterprise "Geoinformation Systems", the engineering enterprise "Scientific Instrumentation", the engineering enterprise "Information Technologies", the scientific and engineering enterprise "Automation Systems".

    2000-2007

  • 2002 – The State Scientific Institution "Institute of Technical Cybernetics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus", the Scientific and Research Institute "Cybernetics" and the Scientific and Research Unitary Enterprise "Automation Systems" are being reorganized by merging into the State Scientific Institution "United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus" (UIIP NAS of Belarus)
  • 2007 — The Institute has been granted the rights and obligations of the founder of legal entities:
  • Research and Development Unitary Enterprise "Geoinformation Systems";
  • Research and Development Unitary Enterprise "Intersectoral Scientific and Practical Center for Identification Systems and Electronic Business Operations".
